Good post, thank you. Personally I think silver is extremely under-valued and suppressed by globohomo so it is not seen as an alternative to fiat. This is an amusing way to look at it, but comparing the price of silver to the historical cost of prostitution shows it is undervalued 144:1: https://i.ibb.co/Pjg44xc/a111.png

Good collection. Cross-posted it. It seems to me that it could fill volumes and will still remain incomplete, if for no other reason, because one has to adjust to the changing circumstances and must rearrange priorities accordingly all the time.

I have also tried to collect ideas from readers and elsewhere for some time. Here is my first attempt from last July (the comments are more important than the article):

And my second attempt from last November:

In general, there a lot to prepare for. How to circumvent the CBDC from last November:

Here are a few more recent thoughts:

Some silver, yes, but I wouldn't bet on it. My neighbors would come for my stocks well before govt goons, but whatever would be left, will be taken, so secret storage spaces would be necessary well before the SHTF. Showing even the tiniest signs that you have reserves will be dangerous even after that. For bartering, yarn and needles will be worth a fortune, much more than gold or silver. Survival skills and pre-industrial skills, ditto, but I doubt there are too many blacksmiths hanging around and without them, it's back in the Stone Age. Paper, fabric, tools (esp. for carpentry, spinning, and preparing hides), firestarters, raw materials (esp. metal), weapons, ammo, and the list is long. Ensuring potable water will be difficult, if not impossible, because even rainwater will likely be tainted. A good karstwater spring or an artesian well nearby might take care of the problem. As the survival bunkers pile up storage for five years, I assume that five years of supplies is all one needs.

Firepower can also make a difference, but only if at least 10-15 skilled people participate and cooperate. Urban living will not be possible.

Only a few will make it, and I don't expect to be among them.

Still, survival makes no sense, unless it is in perspective. Why would anyone want to survive? Is it an animal instinct or something more? That depends on the person.

As far as I can see, living off the grid in extremely uninhabited areas by twos or threes (count in the dog for infrared satellite images) is the best chance, but that's something hardly anyone can accomplish. The good news is that it will be "only" about five years. I'm not sure what will come after that, but there is a good chance that the survivors will be left alone.

Ultimately, it will depend on the person and the circumstances. Being prepared for several scenarios is a good idea.
